No business behind it
We don't sell ads or data. There's no business model: just freedom to talk, privacy and an easy app.
Calls with no media server
Audio and video travel encrypted between the devices in the call, with no media server. Only the "hi, can you hear me?" goes through our server.
What you delete is gone
No "this message was deleted". The file goes with the message. And you can read a chat without leaving it seen.
Just your friends
Look someone up by their code, see who they are and decide: add or block. Nobody messages you unless you accept.
Your way
Themes, a color studio, animations and a wallpaper photo. Share a theme by pasting it in a chat.
Locked-down storage
Messages are stored encrypted (AES-256) and files have no public address: they open with a link that expires in minutes. And you can log in from any device and see everything instantly.

FAQ
How much does it cost?
For people, nothing: weSmile is free with no ads, and there's no business behind your conversations. What's paid is the business version (bots, voice assistant and website integrations), from US$4 per person per month, with a free 1-month demo.
Do I have to install anything?
No. It works in your phone's or computer's browser. If you want, add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, with notifications even when it's closed.
Are my messages encrypted?
They're stored encrypted on the server (AES-256-GCM), and files have no public address. They're not end-to-end: that lets you log in from any device and see everything instantly. Calls travel encrypted between the devices of the people in them, without going through our server; in a big group, what comes from other capsules arrives through another participant's device.
Who can message me?
Only your contacts. To add you, someone needs your code or your link, and you decide whether to accept or block.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Deleting a message "for everyone" really deletes it, file included. And from Settings you can delete your whole account.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, and on Windows, Mac and Linux. On iPhone, install it from Safari: Share → "Add to Home Screen".
